She gave her first performance at the age of six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salini\u2019s dance training spans several classical art forms. She began her <strong>Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam<\/strong> journey under <strong>Natyakalaratnam Kala Vijayan<\/strong>, daughter of the famed Kalyanikuttiyamma. In addition, she has also trained in <strong>Kuchipudi<\/strong>, <strong>Ottan Thullal<\/strong>, <strong>Classical music<\/strong>, and <strong>Kathakali music<\/strong>, showcasing her versatility across performance traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She received the <strong>junior scholarship<\/strong> for Kathakali from <strong>CCRTC<\/strong> and a <strong>senior scholarship<\/strong> for two years in <strong>Mohiniyattam<\/strong>, further validating her dedication and expertise in classical dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An excellent academic performer, Salini Harikumar secured <strong>first rank<\/strong> in both her <strong>B.A. and M.A. degrees<\/strong> from her alma mater, RLV College. She further pursued <strong>M.Phil<\/strong> at <strong>Kerala Kalamandalam<\/strong> and went on to earn a <strong>Doctorate<\/strong> in Mohiniyattam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond performance and academics, she is also a <strong>writer<\/strong>, contributing numerous scholarly articles and dance-related writings in various journals.
