Gautam Pisharody is a versatile film professional working primarily in Hindi and Malayalam cinema. Based in Cochin and currently residing in Thiruvananthapuram, he is known for his work as a casting director<\/strong>, assistant\/associate director<\/strong>, video filmmaker<\/strong>, and creative producer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Educational Background<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Gautam completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya<\/strong> in 2004. He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering<\/strong> from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)<\/strong> in 2008. Pursuing his passion for visual storytelling, he went on to do his post-graduation in Audiovisual Production<\/strong> from the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication<\/strong>, completing it in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early Creative Endeavours<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

While still in college, Gautam began experimenting with filmmaking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • In October 2010<\/strong>, he volunteered at SOS Children\u2019s Village, Thrissur<\/strong>, where he created his first short promotional film<\/strong>, capturing the lives of the children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In January 2011<\/strong>, he directed a documentary<\/strong> on the condition of rivers in Pune, exploring the potential of river transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In the following months, he took on multiple roles\u2014actor<\/strong>, cameraman<\/strong>, and editor<\/strong>\u2014in various short films such as Solidarity<\/em>, Invisible Crime<\/em>, Amor Brutal<\/em>, and Naan Varuven<\/em> (his debut as an assistant director).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In March 2012<\/strong>, he wrote, directed, and edited<\/strong> the short film Intoxication<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Professional Experience<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Before moving full-time into cinema, Gautam worked for a year as a Junior Associate Copyeditor<\/strong> at Crimson Interactive Pvt. Ltd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    He gained valuable production experience during:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • IPL Season 4 (2011)<\/strong> and IPL Season 5 (2012)<\/strong> as a Production Assistant<\/strong> on the show Extra Innings T20<\/em> for Sony Entertainment Television<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Worked as Assistant Director<\/strong> on a series of five ad films for Decathlon<\/strong>, directed by Vishnu Shyam Prasad and produced by Nirvana Films<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Assisted Nirvana Films again for a campaign of two ad films<\/strong> for the brand Maiyya<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      He is currently involved in the feature film \u201cArtist\u201d<\/strong>, produced by Sunitha Productions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Work in Malayalam Cinema<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Gautam has been associated as an Assistant\/Associate Director<\/strong> with several notable Malayalam films:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
