Dr. Smitha Pisharody is a renowned Carnatic vocalist, lyricist, veena player, playback singer<\/strong>, and music therapist<\/strong>. She currently serves as a Music Therapist at Mahatma Gandhi University<\/strong>, Kottayam, Kerala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her musical journey began with a strong academic and performance background in Carnatic music. She has given over 60 public concerts<\/strong>, both as a vocalist and a veena artist, and is a graded artist (vocal)<\/strong> of All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Smitha started her career in media as an Announcer with All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram<\/strong>, and later became the host of the popular morning show \u201cPonpulari\u201d on Surya TV<\/strong>. She also worked as a newsreader<\/strong> on Surya TV and went on to host several television programs on Amrita TV, Kairali TV, and Doordarshan<\/strong>, all while pursuing her collegiate education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a lyricist<\/strong>, she has written songs for Malayalam films, devotional albums, TV serials<\/strong>, and other musical productions. As a singer, she has contributed to numerous devotional music albums, advertisements, radio programs<\/strong>, and TV serials<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
