He served as the <strong>Principal of Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram<\/strong> from 2008 to 2015, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping the institution\u2019s infrastructure and academic excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing his <strong>MBBS<\/strong> from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, he pursued higher studies at the <strong>Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh<\/strong>, where he earned his <strong>MD and DM degrees in Nephrology<\/strong>. He also obtained a <strong>Master\u2019s degree in Design, Measurement, and Evaluation<\/strong> from <strong>McMaster University, Canada<\/strong>, reflecting his deep interest in academic quality and medical education methodologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Pisharody served as <strong>Head of the Department of Nephrology<\/strong> in Government Medical Colleges at <strong>Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam<\/strong>, and <strong>Kozhikode<\/strong>, and was also the <strong>Director of CERTC (Comprehensive Epilepsy and Rehabilitation Training Centre)<\/strong> at Thiruvananthapuram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was an <strong>elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians<\/strong>, both in <strong>England<\/strong> and <strong>Glasgow<\/strong>, and was honoured with the <strong>Kerala Government\u2019s award for the Best Doctor<\/strong> in the state, recognizing his clinical excellence and public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among his notable contributions, he was the driving force behind the establishment of the <strong>modern Super Specialty Block<\/strong> at Medical College Hospital (MCH), Thiruvananthapuram, and played a crucial role in the implementation of the <strong>State Government\u2019s deceased donor organ donation programme<\/strong>, <strong>\u201cMrithasanjeevani\u201d<\/strong>, which continues to save countless lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Ramadas Pisharody passed away on <strong>29th March 2017<\/strong> at the age of <strong>62<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personal Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Father<\/strong>: Chowwara Pisharath Krishnan Kutty Pisharody<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mother<\/strong>: Mulangunnathu Kavu Padinjaroot Pisharath Kamakshi Pisharasiar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wife<\/strong>: Dr. Jayasree Ramadas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daughters<\/strong>: Vinitha Pravin &amp; Sangeetha Arjun<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Ramadas Pisharody was a distinguished medical professional, academic, and visionary leader in Kerala\u2019s healthcare sector.
