P. K. Pisharody<\/strong> was a distinguished journalist, best known as the <strong>former editor of the <em>Malayala Manorama<\/em><\/strong> daily and the <strong>chief editor of the women\u2019s magazine <em>Vanitha<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in <strong>1914<\/strong> to <strong>Kannanur Pisharath Ittichiri Pisharasiar<\/strong> and <strong>Edamana Parameswaran Namboodiri<\/strong>, he pursued his early Sanskrit education under the renowned scholar <strong>Punnasseri Neelakandhan Sharma<\/strong>. His career in journalism began in <strong>1933<\/strong>, when he joined <em>Malayala Manorama<\/em> as a sub-editor under <strong>Mamman Mappila<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He played a significant role in community leadership as well \u2014 he was <strong>instrumental in the formation of the Kerala Pisharody Samajam<\/strong> and served as its <strong>first President<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Family<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wife<\/strong>: Late <strong>Ponnamma Pisharasiar<\/strong> (Vaikom Mevellur Nandavanath Pisharath family)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Children<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Late <strong>Haridas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nirmala Ramachandran<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ashokan<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Narayanan<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sujatha Ramachandran<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lathika<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geetha<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>K.
