{"id":650,"date":"2025-08-06T15:05:45","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T09:35:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/v3.pisharodysamajam.com\/?p=650"},"modified":"2025-08-06T15:36:18","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T10:06:18","slug":"panditharathnam-k-p-achutha-pisharody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/v3.pisharodysamajam.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/06\/panditharathnam-k-p-achutha-pisharody\/","title":{"rendered":"Panditharathnam K P Achutha Pisharody"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>(1911 \u2013 2019)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Panditharathnam K P Achutha Pisharody was a revered Sanskrit scholar and teacher who dedicated over eight decades of his life to the propagation and teaching of the Sanskrit language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born on <strong>5th April 1911<\/strong> (<em>Thiruvathira star in Meenam month, Kollavarsham 1086<\/em>) to <strong>Kodikkunnath Thrikkovil Pisharath Narayanikkutti Pisharasiar<\/strong> and <strong>Pudusseri Manackal Pasupathi Namboothiri<\/strong>, Achutha Pisharody was deeply rooted in the traditional scholarly heritage of Kerala. He was the younger brother of the legendary <strong>Panditharathnam K. P. Narayana Pisharody<\/strong>, who lived for 108 years and was also a highly esteemed Sanskrit scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Achutha Pisharody began his Sanskrit education under the tutelage of his elder brother and later became a disciple of <strong>Punnasseri Nambi Neelakanda Sarma<\/strong> at the <em>Saraswadodyothini Sanskrit Pathasala<\/em>. There, he earned the title of <strong>&#8220;Sahithya Shiromani&#8221;<\/strong> for his scholarly accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>1939<\/strong>, he began his formal teaching career as a Sanskrit teacher at <strong>Peringottukara School, Thriprayar<\/strong>. Over the years, he served in multiple educational institutions across Kerala and retired from <strong>Devdhar High School, Thanur (Malappuram District)<\/strong> in <strong>1970<\/strong>.
