Pisharody Samajam Website
The Pisharody Samajam Website was launched in February 2002 as the daily online news portal of the Pisharody Samajam. Updated every minute, it brings the latest news about the Samajam and Pisharodies from across the globe.
Initially designed and developed by Manoj Pisharady, Mudakkari Pisharam, the site was later taken over by Muraleedharan V P. In its early days, it also featured a literary youth magazine titled Yuvachaithanyam. This online magazine was inspired by a century-old publication of the same name, created by progressive-minded Pisharody youth who aimed to educate and promote literacy within the community. The internet version of Yuvachaithanyam was successfully published until November 2007, but was eventually discontinued—perhaps due to a decline in literary contributions or other reasons.
Even without the youth magazine, the website remained active with daily updates. However, from 2010 onwards, with the rise of social media, the site’s popularity gradually declined, receiving only around 30 visitors a day.
To adapt to the changing times, an official Facebook group named Pisharody Samajam was created on 1st May 2015. It quickly gained momentum, attracting over 3,500 members worldwide, and became a daily hub for sharing news about the Samajam and the community.
In a bid to revive and modernise the website, the editorial team was expanded to include Bhasiraj, Murali Mannanur, Vijayan Alangad, and T P Sasikumar. With their technical and creative expertise, the site underwent a complete redesign—from a static format to a dynamic WordPress platform.
Today, the Pisharody Samajam website enjoys an average of 1,000 visits per day. It now also publishes Thulaseedalam—the Samajam’s official literary magazine—as an E-dalam, allowing members to read it online even before the printed edition reaches them by post. Additionally, advertising options in both the print and online editions have been redesigned into attractive combo offers.
Looking ahead, we are committed to taking the website to the next level by introducing password-protected member data access and other new features.
