Sangeetha Anand

Sangeetha Anand made her debut in the Malayalam film music industry in 2017, while she was a ninth-grade student, through the movie “Y”, composed by Pramod Bhaskar — a beloved disciple of the legendary music director Ravindran Master. The song she rendered, “Ee Theruvil” (“On This Street”), was the highlight of the film’s soundtrack.

Having been an active presence on various musical stages in Saudi Arabia, Sangeetha is the daughter of Rishinaradamangalam Pisharath Anand and Eringot Thrikkovil Pisharath Sreevidya Anand. Her sister is Sandra. She is also a regular performer on the stages of the Pisharodi Samajam.

Sangeetha is currently pursuing her medical studies at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College, Pondicherry.

Raji Pisharasyar

Raji Pisharasyar is a talented artist who has been active in the world of painting since 1997, conducting numerous exhibitions over the years. She began her artistic journey with a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from KGTE, followed by a two-year Certificate Course in Drawing and Painting from RLV College, Thrippunithura.

Her teaching career began on 1 June 1998 as a Drawing Teacher at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Poochatty, Thrissur, where she served until 15 December 1998. Later, she worked as an Art and Craft Teacher at Holy Grace Academy, Mala (1 June 2005 – 30 September 2007) and then at Anitha Public School, Thannippuzha, Kalady (October 2007 – February 2010). She is currently the Drawing Teacher at Saraswathi Vidya Nidhyanikethan, Chengamanad.

Apart from her role as an educator, Raji has been conducting art classes at Chithram Art Centre, Parakkadavu, Aluva since 2000. She also founded the Chithram Art Gallery at Parakkadavu, which continues to host painting exhibitions. She has conducted Art Appreciation Workshops sponsored by the Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi and is well known for creating live portrait paintings during various events, captivating audiences with her skill and speed.

Adv. Renjini Suresh

Adv. Renjini Suresh is a renowned Kathakali artiste, celebrated for her masterful portrayal of Kathi Vesham roles — her all-time favourite. An advocate by profession and a rank holder in the LLB degree, she has also served as the Municipal Chairperson of Thrippunithura.

The daughter of the celebrated Kathakali artiste Kalamandalam Vaikkom Karunakaran Asan, Renjini began her Kathakali training at the tender age of four and performed her Arangettam at the age of seven.

She is the founder and principal of the Kalamandalam Vaikkom Karunakaran Memorial Kathakali School, where she continues her father’s legacy by training numerous budding artistes.

Over the years, Renjini has been honoured with several prestigious awards, including:

Raveendran K P

Shri K P Raveendran is a multifaceted personality who has made remarkable contributions to both the furniture industry and a wide range of social development initiatives.

He is the Founder President of the Furniture Manufacturers and Merchants Welfare Association of Kerala (FUMMA), the Founder Managing Director of the Kerala Furniture Consortium, Ernakulam — India’s first home furniture cooperative — and the Managing Director of the Innovative International Furniture Hub under the Union Ministry of Industry.

Under his leadership, the Furniture Hub achieved a grant of ₹44 crores from the Central Government, in addition to ₹22 lakhs and 3 acres 15 cents of land from the Government of Kerala.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce honoured him with the Best Industrialist Award in 2014. The team he led was instrumental in establishing six major public projects for social development across Kerala.

He is also the Founder of the Positive Commune Entrepreneurship Club, an initiative to mentor and support aspiring entrepreneurs. Additionally, he serves as a Director of the Malabar Innovation Zone and the Malabar Angel Investment Platform, and is the Managing Director of the Malabar Furniture Consortium as well as Director of Chairman Moulded Furniture.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when most sectors faced severe challenges, he established MYZONE (Malabar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Zone) — a non-profit cooperative initiative to guide and support entrepreneurs in North Malabar — where he continues to serve as Director.

Apart from his business and social ventures, Shri Raveendran is a much sought-after motivational speaker at various events.

Radhika Biju

Smt. Radhika Biju, daughter of Thrissur Thonnangamath Kizhakke Pisharath Sri Krishna Chandran and Chiranga Pisharath Smt. Santha Devi, is one of the leading exponents of Bharatanatyam today.

Her journey in Bharatanatyam began at the tender age of five under Guru Hemalata Prakash. She later trained under Guru Meera Vishwanath, completing her Junior Exam in Bharatanatyam at just 12 years of age. Gifted with a natural flair for dance, Radhika has built her reputation through unwavering dedication and hard work.

At the age of 14, she became a disciple of Guru Smt. Neela Jayaraman, under whose guidance she completed her Vidwath and Arangettam within a year. Over the past decade, through her Bangalore-based dance institute “Padamudra”, she has trained more than 600 students.

Radhika has performed extensively across India, including in Delhi, Bangalore, and Kerala. Her dance is distinguished by clarity of movement, graceful intricacies, eloquent expressions, and precise execution, evoking Rasa in its full splendour and essence.

Chunangad Mohanan

Chunangad Mohanan is a renowned Thimila artiste with over 40 years of experience.

He is the son of Chunangad Kizhakkekkara Pisharath Kuttikrishna Pisharody and Kongad Kavil Pisharath Devaki Pisharasiar, and was the first disciple of the late Kongad Vijay in Thimila. Over the years, he has trained many disciples, including the well-known Ottappalam Hari.

Meera Mukundan

Meera Mukundan is a well-known writer among the Pisharody community, recognized for her numerous works published in Malayalam in Thulaseedalam.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Meera was a budding writer in English during her school and college years, winning several prizes in English poetry competitions. Daughter of Thrissur Kizhakke Pisharath Balakrishna Pisharody and Pulamanthol Pisharath Malathi Pisharasiar, she developed a deep interest in Malayalam literature. This passion was nurtured through her regular reading of eminent Malayalam authors from the library of Kerala Samajam, Matunga.

In 1984, Meera joined Canara Bank, Thane Branch, where she began contributing to the bank’s house magazine Shreyas. Her short stories won her several accolades for their literary merit.

In 1994, she married Kulathur Mandarathil Pisharath Mukundan and moved to Palakkad, where she continued her literary journey, penning many notable stories.

Preetha Ramachandran

Preetha Ramachandran is a talented singer who rose to prominence through her remarkable performances in television reality shows. She made her debut as a playback singer in the Malayalam film Cadburys in 2024.

Preetha also serves as a casual announcer at All India Radio, Kochi.

She is the daughter of Sri K. R. G. Pisharody of Mukkottil Pisharam and the late Smt. Lalithambika of Manjeeri Pisharam, Irimbiliyam.

Sreeprakash Ottapalam

Sreeprakash Ottapalam is a well-known Malayalam short story writer and environmental activist. His works are regularly published in periodicals, and he also narrates stories on All India Radio.

He has so far published four short story collections: Aanachoor, Kshamikkanam Pankajakshiyamma Prathikarikkunnilla (“Sorry, Pankajakshiyamma is Not Responding”), Venkateshwara Brahmin Restaurant, and On Njammantaalaa.

He has received numerous awards including the Mahakavi Kunchan Nambiar Poetry Award, Lohithadas Short Story Award, Jayaprakash Memorial Award, Thulasi Award, Samskruthi Award, Viral Short Story Award, Navothana Shreshta Award (2019), and the OISCA Award for environmental activism.

He was born on 14 December 1958 to Jeevan Prakash Pisharath Lakshmikutty & Bharatha Pisharodi of Chakkalath, Nilambur. His wife is Valsala (from Thrivikramapuram) and they have two children – Arun and Anu.

After 37 years of service, he retired from the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and continues to pursue literary and environmental activities in his retired life.

Jayan V Pisharody

Born on 2nd April, Jayan V. Pisharody is a Kerala State Television Award-winning Indian musician, film score composer, programmer, and singer. Over the years, he has built an impressive career, composing music for more than 100 advertisements and programming and composing for nearly 15 Indian films.
