Pisharody Educational & Welfare Society is a charitable society established as a sub-unit of Pisharady Samajam in 1980 mainly to work for the literary, social, and financial upliftment of the people of India in general and;

Honoring a Legacy of Compassion and Upliftment: The Journey of the Pisharody Educational & Welfare Society
The Pisharody Educational & Welfare Society has been a beacon of hope and service, embodying the ideals of compassion, empowerment, and unity within our community. From its inception, the Society has remained steadfast in its mission to support the underprivileged and foster educational excellence.
Founded by the visionary Sri K.R.S. Pisharody, whose tireless efforts laid the foundation of this noble institution, the Society quickly grew into a pillar of support for countless lives. Over the years, it extended its helping hands through financial aid for education, medical treatment, marriage, and old age pensions, ensuring that vulnerable members of our society are never left behind.
A milestone that stands as a testament to the Societyโs compassion is the Silver Jubilee celebration in 2005, where the Society constructed and gifted a home to Smt. Vanaja Pisharasiar of the Irinjalakuda unit, a gesture filled with love and humanity. The house was formally handed over on 25th December 2005 by none other than the Hon. Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri. Therambil Ramakrishnan, marking a moment of pride and profound joy for the community.
The Society has also championed academic brilliance by awarding merit scholarships to deserving students, encouraging excellence and creating opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach.

Sponsorships
Many well-wishers are sponsoring the whole educational expenses of economically backward students through the society and units including sponsorship of an engineering student and 5 years of continuous sponsorship. (plus 1 to graduation). Apart from this, the society is giving financial help to all the needy students from standard 1 to post-graduation including technical education in the range of Rs.1000/- to Rs.1500/- every year in June.
Pension Scheme โ PET 2000
A scheme aimed to remember and assist senior members of Pisharody Samajam , deserving help created in 2000. Currently, Samajam is giving a pension to 20 members @ Rs. 2,000/- per month. A Pension Corpus has been created for the said purpose and many members have patronized this scheme.
Donations to the corpus may please be deposited at the designated bank account opened for the purpose, as per the details down below.
P.A. Pisharoti Memorial Fund for Treatment of Cancer
To support financially weak members undergoing cancer treatment, a corpus fund of โน2.5 lakh has been instituted by the family members of (Late) Shri P.A. Pisharoti.
Financial Assistance
Eligible applicants may receive โน10,000, twice a year (subject to fund availability and panel approval).
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a member of Pisharody Samajam with no arrears in membership subscription.
- Assistance is also extended to the applicant’s dependent children (under 18 years).
- The applicant must be undergoing treatment for cancer and provide necessary medical documentation.
How to Apply
- Download and complete the prescribed application form (Enclosure-I).
- Submit the filled form with the following documents:
- Doctorโs prescription
- Medical bills and original payment receipts
- Details of treatment undertaken
- Details of family members, annual income
- Information on financial aid received from other sources
- Route the application through the local Pisharody Samajam unit secretary.
- The local secretary will scrutinize and recommend the application.
- Forward the completed and endorsed application to the:
Secretary, Pisharody Educational & Welfare Society (PE&WS).

Donations to PE & WS is exempt u/s. 80-G of Income Tax Act vide Order No.CIT-TCR/TECH/80G.32/2009-10 dt. 25-05-2011 for life long.
