Rajan Sithara, also known as Rajan Raghavan, is a noted Malayalam film director, ace photographer, and versatile artist. He directed two Malayalam feature films – “മന്ത്രിക്കൊച്ചമ്മ” (1998) and “ഭാര്യ വീട്ടിൽ പരമസുഖം” (1999). He also served as an associate director to renowned filmmaker Murali Nair in the short film Arimpara.
In addition to his directorial achievements, Rajan has also proven his mettle as an actor, featuring in A Story That Begins at the End and the Sanskrit-language film Pratikriti, directed by Dr. Nitish Gopi. He has directed several short films, including the well-received Varsham 39.
Expanding his creative pursuits, Rajan has recently taken on the role of a Yajnachaaryan, conducting Bhagavata Saptahams at notable venues such as Kodakara Govindapuram Temple and the Pisharody Samajam Central Office, Thrissur. Since 2020, he has been serving as the Acharyan for the Ramayana Parayanam organised annually by the Samajam through online platforms.
Rajan has also taken a keen interest in Kathakali, undergoing training under Kalanilayam Anilkumar and recently performed his Arangettam.
