Peruvanam Murali Pisharody is a renowned artist in the field of Elathaalam (a traditional Kerala percussion instrument).

He is the son of the late Peruvanam Thekke Pisharath Rama Pisharody and Thippallur Pisharath Lakshmikutty Pisharasyar. His wife is Sreja. Mukundan, Peruvanam Gopalakrishnan, and Peruvanam Prakasan are his brothers.

In 2018, he was awarded the Kala Sagar Award instituted in memory of the legendary Kalamandalam Krishnankutty Poduval. In the same year, he was also honoured by the Paramekkavu Devaswom with a gold medal.
